Charlie Sheen

Two tiny tidbits of advice, bro:

1) They have meds for what's wrong with you; and
2) STFU.  If you don't know what it means, ask Angus T. Jones...

JS was doing cartwheels in the yard yesterday afternoon.  One leg was always straight, and one leg was a little bent.  One of our neighbors saw him and yelled out that if he'd relax his legs that they they'd both be straight.  JS only heard part of it.

So he told the neighbor he didn't come outside to relax, he came outside to play.

Remedial Math

Thank you to my sissy for the referral to remedial math class.  Duh on me.  I meant to type $3.13 per gallon, not $2.13.

Tuesday when I took the kids to school, gas was $2.13 per gallon.  Yesterday, it was $3.29 when I went by the same gas station.

I don't mean to be dense....but why did the price go up 16 cents in ONE DAY?  An explanation would be appreciated, but probably not believed.  LOL - sort of.

The blog has now had 10,000 views!!  Marking it for posterity at 11:14 p.m.  ;-D

Sign in, please

I had to sign in with my almost forgotten password because it has been so long since I blogged.  Not 100%  slackin' - traveling and mid-terming too.

Had a good visit and feel satisfied with my mid-term exam answers!  Yay!

Maya Angelou

She said, "Some critics will write:  'Maya Angelou is a natural writer' -- which is right after being a natural heart surgeon."

I love that -

Minutiae Musings Vol. 4

To the guy in the yellowish Gremlin:  Dude, do you really need to go that slowly over the railroad tracks?  Is it to prevent parts of your car from falling off?  Please let me go around you without sign language.  Thanks.

After all these years, I've pinned down names to go with the four weeks of my months.  There is period week, skinny week, PMS week, and fat week.  Probably TMI, but I'm midway between PMS and fat weeks.  Just sayin' -

Finally getting to watch Westminster after the years with no cable.  This is their 135th year!  Retrievers are on tomorrow night, but the hounds were on tonight, then toy dogs, and non-sporting next. In toy dog group, I see no genuing fluffy fur, just cotton looking hair.  It doesn't even look real the way it's styled.  The dog I thought was the ugliest dog wins the round--the long-haired Pekingnese.  It looked like a shoebox on wheels with a two-tone wig on it.  Just awful.  At about 10:15, I saw that the Shar-Pei had won its group!  Of course that makes me think of Chubby-Smacks.  Woohoo!

College PSA:  When your professor says your reading assignment is dense, he's not kidding.

I think the planets must be in retrograde, lol.  I know a lot of people who are having challenging times right now.  I am thinking of everyone and sending love & prayers and positive thoughts.

Here's another six word story.  I think maybe I should say six word poem, as this one doesn't seem much like a story....

I'm hoping to get back on the picture posting.  In the meantime, hope you have a good Monday night.  xo xo

Good to Go

Sam had a truck maintenance task, and he asked John Sam if he wanted to watch and maybe help so he could learn about what Dad was doing.

Dad: "You know, like a learning experience?"

JS:  "No, I'm good."

New Pix and Belated Cake

We took some grandchildren pictures over the weekend.  I took roughly 193 (give or take, lol), so there were plenty of chances to get some good ones.  It was a lot of fun even though we could have lived without the wind.

First, the cake I meant to post for Nana's birthday yesterday.

My wild, interesting, and hectic life is catching up with me.  Ha!  Last night I fell asleep with the remote and the phone right next to me.  I was listening to a show with my eyes closed, just for a minute -- well, you know the rest.

It's chilling off here because of the rain, which means the electric blankie is back on the bed :)

(Card is "Saturdays" brand, Expressions by Hallmark)

To clarify

I wondered the other day when I was dissing Ralph Waldo Emerson's writing if anybody noticed that I've had a quote of his on the front page of my blog for quite a long time.  They have a word for that - ironic.  lmao!

I love the quote because it's encouraging and reminds me to focus on positive thoughts.  Plus I can read it all the way through without falling asleep.

Groundhog Day

Groundhog P. Phil did not see the shadow, so that means an early spring.

Seems backward to me.  We should have an early spring if he sees his shadow, because it would mean the spring sun has arrived early to shine on Phil and create his shadow.

At least a lot of people I talk to get it mixed up too.
