The month got the best of me as I only posted half of the possible days. Probably the lowest count in a while. I'm ready to wrap up the week and see Granny & Cousins. I don't have our sparklers yet. Bad mama ;-)

Lit of Psych Trauma is Done
I feel great about the final exam, and my research paper is turned in. Please note I'm reserving perky comments on the research paper for a later date (read: after I get the grade on it). *snort*
This past weekend was like a marathon, and it was apparent I'm woefully outta shape. I need some cross training and fast!
But at this moment, it's time for bed so I can start making up for all the sleep I lost . . .

She Who Rambles
Blah blah blah tonight. Finished the Prozac book. I'm glad we read this one last. The last 2 chapters or so were better, but altogether it was tough reading. It smacked of obvious overuse of a thesaurus. Sheesh.
Got some pretties from Colleen yesterday. Can't post the pictures yet, because they could be coming to a mailbox near you, lol.
I have to get out of my technological denial and just buy a new printer. I think I've narrowed it down to two and will have to choose tomorrow since the research paper needs to be completed by Sunday night (Monday morning?! ha). PITA.
"Hot enough for ya?" is number one on the what-NOT-to-say list. And number two on the list is a discussion of electric bills. Please. Let's just don't go there ;-D
The U-Verse is working great! I already have 5 things taped and plan on watching them when I need a homework break.
Going to bed "early" tonight, as in, right now!! xoxo

Summer Solstice
Forgot to say, Happy First Day of Summer! Today was the longest day of the year. And not just cause I'm overly busy, hehe.
Rainy Days and Mondays
Rainy days and Mondays always get me down . . .lol . . . apologies to the Carpenters. This photo was actually taken over the weekend--I was trying to photo the raindrops so I could send the pic in to be featured on the weather segment of our local news. It doesn't show as much rain as there really was, but we get a nice closeup of the palm tree.
Unrelated: I saw a really funny quote on one of my message boards that I'm going to have made into my own personal bumpersticker: Some people think I have an attitude problem. Those people are stupid!

8008 and 90 Percent
My blog has had 8,008 views - yay!
Got 90% on my mid-term exam. That translates to an A-minus-minus, ha. I predict my research paper will turn out better than the mid-term because I'm excited that I got to select my own topic. :)
Tonight is Must-See-Thursday-TV.
This weekend? Outlining the research paper and reading the book Prozac Nation for next week's quiz.

93.333333333
That's my quiz average in my class. It's an A- and I'm relieved because I thought the grade was going to be lower. I will admit, I looked to the end of the decimal point numbers to see if there was any rounding up I could do. Uh, that would be a big fat no. HA! Anyway I did great on the quiz we took tonight plus a bonus question, and the lowest one will get dropped. So of course, I'm feeling good about my grades. Woohoo! The prof promises she will e-mail my grade on the mid-term paper by tomorrow afternoon. Ugh! Another night of obsessing. Just kidding (sort of). Actually I'm anxious to get the paper back so I can read her comments and use them to improve the research paper which I'll be starting this weekend.
Good night - xoxo

As seen by....
one of the kids' teachers at LCE when they had field day. I like to see how other people compose pictures of my kids; I feel like they show me things I don't see when I photograph them myself.
Here's JS in the zone with the Gameboy:
That white strip on the left side is the reflective strap on his backpack. I love the furrowed brow! Of course intense concentration and vanilla milk go together!! :)
I'm not sure whether CG is throwing or catching the frisbee. It looks like it could be a dance step, too. When I saw this, I thought, OMG, she really looks older. Bittersweet, I think they call it.

Still here
I'm still around, just tired from all the running here and there. Finished my reading homework last night at 11:21 or so. Only one more book, two more quizzes, one research paper, and one final exam. All in the next two weeks. OMG! You know what they say . . . sleep is overrated, lol.
Took CGB to her summer camp, and she ran right off and left me standing there. I guess she's okay without me *sniff*
After that, took JSB to reading camp. He saw a friend from LCE right away, and they sat together. The teacher was soft spoken but I can tell she's tough. He'll be ready for 4th grade in no time.
The U-verse is awesome and once I plow thru the manual, I'll be a DVR expert. WOOHOO!
Don't know when I'll post again, but hoping I get to scrap and/or take some pictures. Ever the optimist, right? :)

Last day of school
Beamer's birthday =) Here's a dog quote to celebrate.
Joyful, joyful, joyful, as only dogs know how to be happy with only the autonomy of their shameless spirit. -Pablo Neruda
Here are closeups of my current crop of roses that I took while playing with flash/non-flash settings. The vase was sitting on our white kitchen countertop but looked as if it were floating.
One Red, Two Yellows
Just the yellows
Y'all won't be able to believe I found this in CGB's room ;-0

Slide Show Up and Running
Finally, after a desperate e-mail to a fellow blogger and a whole lotta messin' around, I finally got the slide show to work! Can I get a woot-woot?! You'll see it under the Daily Literary Quote, and it's called "Currently Reading."
If you want to make your own slide show, go here Slide Easy and fun, and you bet your boo-tay that I'll be making some more in the future. :)
After I do my essay questions, I hope to post some miscellaneous pix.

Slide show is tricky
I've officially spent 52 minutes trying to get a slide show on the side of the blog. Whoops, now it's 53 minutes. Still not working. I keep reducing the size of the pictures, then when I post it, they get larger and larger and more pixel-y. {insert very annoyed growling sound here followed by the dreaded despondent heavy sigh}
I shall try it again tomorrow. Tah-tah for the evening.

Wonderful Writer
Caroline won the award for Wonderful Writer in her class! She got a shiny new pin and her name appeared on the projection screen. It was a lot of fun cheering for her and all our other friends at LCE.
